Our Chairman, Professor Robert Winston, recently hosted our first ever reunion event to celebrate the incredible people who have taken part in our challenges over the years. It was fantastic to have so many of our valued supporters together again.
The reception was held at the prestigious Athenaeum club. Situated on Pall Mall, the club itself was founded in 1829, and boasts an impressive list of Nobel Laureates as previous and current members. We welcomed over 50 guests at the event including trustees Professor Stephen Franks, Angela Hodes and Anthony Rosenfelder.
We heard from our host Professor Robert Winston and guest speaker Professor Kate Hardy, who spoke not only about their past experiences on our challenge events, but also about their research in reproductive medicine. Professor Winston spoke movingly about how our supporters have raised millions of pounds for our vital research which helps the future generation of children. Professor Hardy shared fascinating anecdotes of her trekking challenge in Morocco. It was wonderful to hear her inspiring stories.
A raffle was held later in the evening, drawn by two of our trustees. The two lucky winners were Nancy Lee and Carole Clark, (pictured below) who will both be departing for our Argentina to Chile cycle next week!
During the reception we launched a number of exciting new cycling and trekking challenge events which are now open for registration and filling up fast! Please take a look on our website here. We would love to have you join us.
