Croatian Cycle Challenge Success!

In October twelve of our dedicated supporters took on an epic challenge to cycle Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast to raise vital funds for our work at the leading edge of obstetric and neonatal science.

This island-hopping adventure took our participants along the stunning coastline, through picturesque vineyards and up incredibly steep hills to the summit of each island. The team covered over 350km in 6 days, raising an incredible £43,000 for our vital research.

One of our participants, Sally Cassidy, said:

‘I’ve just completed my 4th challenge with Genesis, this time to Croatia. What a stunningly beautiful place! As usual, I was privileged to meet the most amazing group of ladies also doing the challenge. We laughed and had so much fun, even though there were a few hills. If you’re thinking of doing one, go for it! I often go on my own, but make so many lovely friends. Can’t wait until the next one!’

We are so grateful to our fantastic cyclists for taking on this challenge. The money raised significantly supports our continuing research towards saving and improving the lives of women and babies.

If you’ve been inspired to take on an adventure of your own you can see our upcoming challenges here.
