Genesis Research Trust (GRT) is delighted to announce the appointment of D M Sterling as its new CEO as outgoing CEO Julia Margo leaves to focus on her young family.
D M Sterling has comprehensive high-profile strategic fundraising, business and communication expertise. Her education history includes: an MSc in Human Biology (Oxford), a London law degree and undergraduate degrees in Biology and Communications from Canada.
She has a diverse and successful career including Director of Development posts at Oxford and London Universities, The Royal Institution, and more recently at Oxford Philanthropy, as Managing Director. She co-founded a telemedicine start-up company that was listed in Boston (NASDAQ) and undertook management consulting in health and science businesses.
I am delighted to be handing over to Dyan to take forward Genesis’ vital mission. Her appointment heralds a new era for Genesis as we continue to grow our fundraising arm and increase our impact on women and families.
I am proud to be leaving Genesis after a busy and exciting period of expansion and will continue to support the charity as I spend much needed time with my three young children.
Professor Robert Winston, Chairman of Genesis Research Trust said:
We are really delighted to welcome Ms Sterling to the GRT family as our new CEO. She brings vital fundraising expertise to the organisation at a time when we seek to dramatically grow our outreach and impact.
“At the same time, we are very sorry to be losing Julia and grateful for the work she has done to develop the charity”.
I am delighted and privileged to join the GRT in its mission to improve the reproductive health of women. GRT funded science research has had a huge impact on the lives of countless women and families. I believe that with the continued support of our world leading Imperial College scientists, staff, donors and volunteers, we can change even more lives for better.
