Professor the Lord Robert Winston is Chair of Genesis Research Trust. His work at Hammersmith Hospital and Imperial College London helped establish in vitro fertilisation and preimplantation genetic diagnosis in Britain, and he has spent decades explaining reproductive science to the public through broadcasting, writing and the House of Lords.

Why this matters to the research
Only 0.2% of UK medical research funding goes towards understanding conception, pregnancy and birth. Genesis Research Trust exists to close that gap, funding work at the Institute of Reproductive and Developmental Biology at Imperial College London.
